Dave Arneson Poseur

I was looking at a picture taken of me this weekend when it dawned on me that Dave Arneson is not only a gaming inspiration but also a fashion icon...

  1. Okay, so it wasn't just me that picked up on that. Good.

  2. Yeah, I totally thought that was the look you were going for.

  3. Gotta get that beaming, mischievous Arneson smile going to complete the look.

  4. It's also cool that when I wear pocket shirts I usually have the left pocket tucked in just like Dave... (for pens and/or glasses case).

  5. This is a little disturbing, dude.

    My wardrobe is sadly flannel-deficient.

  7. Your beard is a lot more respectable than Arneson's. Yours is sorta "Old Testament patriarch before the grey sets in", his is "forgot to shave for a Guiness-worthy number of consectuve days".

Remember when grunge made flannel shirts cool? That was a long time ago now, but for a brief period I found it very confusing to find myself suddenly (and through no design)to be wearing fashionable clothing.

  8. Damn! Seems I can't spell 'consecutive' on the first try today.

  9. Hilarious. It's like you're looking at a mirror image.

  12. Flannel shirt: $18.00

    Glasses: $99.00

Beard: (you actually saved money by not buying shaving supplies)

Realizing you look like Dave Arneson when shown a picture of yourself that was taken at a recent gaming convention: Priceless!

  13. Also...

Jeff is right. Your beard is so much better than Dave's! But I believe he has you out-buttoned!

  14. Dude, he is totally stealing your look. I don't know how he's managing to do it 30 years ago, but he totally is.
