ReplyDeleteWonderful - I'll add you to the list. Hope to meet you!
DeleteI too hail from Bingo-Town.
DeleteCompletely off-topic; if you have ever been interested in fencing or sword-play, there is a well-known fencing master in Ithica named Adam Crown.
ReplyDeleteHere is a link to info on his salle d'armes:

these gals and guys?

Ha, no. We're all 4-5 hours from NYC.
DeleteReese here. I'm in Norwich, not too far from either Ithaca or Binghamton. Roughly and hour to either. Too far for regular gaming, but a one-off mini con might be fun at some point.
ReplyDeleteThere is also Mepacon down in Scranton in both April & November.

Great! Between Binghamton, Syracuse, Rochester, and Ithaca there seem to be 7-8 candidate personalities that would make a lively mini-con. Ithaca is the central point, so might make sense to think about having something like this here. I'd be happy to help organize, as I did for the SoCal Minicon for a few years.
DeleteMichael Curtis may be in your areas, Bob: worth asking him @ http://poleandrope.blogspot.com/ :D
ReplyDeleteAllan.
Oh yes, that's right. Isn't he in Syracuse or something? Thanks Allan.
DeleteHe's down int eh Hudson Valley Area (Sleepy Hollow-ish). That's a 3-4 hour drive, unfortunately.
DeleteDang... too bad.
DeleteI am in Mexico, NY, up in Oswego county; roughly 45 minutes north of Syracuse. This being CNY though, the drive to Ithaca doesn't frighten me, I used to make the drive to the Cornell campus every Sunday for SCA fighter practice.
ReplyDeleteCool - I'll put your blog on the list!
DeleteCongrats on the second child and glad you're still around.
ReplyDeleteNothing NY related to add.
I am in Brockport, about twenty minutes west of Rochester and approximately two hours away from you in Ithaca. I am actively gaming in Brockport and my blog is The Lands of Ara:

I've been slow on the blogging recently but am pretty active on the gaming and am interested in regional RPG'ing.
Congratulations on your new job, new town, and new son. I hope we'll get to meet in person -- hopefully over a gaming table! -- one of these days soon.
Alright! It's nice to realize are so many kindred gamers in the area!
DeleteCongrats on your new boy and welcome back Bob!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear from you - and great topic/question for a post. I'll be away for another year yet, but it'd be great to do some G+ gaming if possible.
ReplyDeletealso the new captcha hardly ever gives anything interesting, but this one provided me with psychling. for which I must write some rules forthwith.
I've been away from the blogosphere for a while, so I missed this when you posted it. I'm in Liverpool, a suburb just north/northwest of Syracuse.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new job and family member!
I'm in Lansing, directly next door to Ithaca. http://secretsoftheshadowend.blogspot.com/ You working at Cornell?
